Arboricultural Services - Arboricultural Impact Assessments

What is an Arboricultural Impact Assessment?

An Arboricultural Impact Assessment draws upon the results of a BS 5837 survey and describes the impact of your project upon onsite and adjacent offsite trees.

The Assessment will identify which trees are to be retained and which are to be lost to facilitate a new development; where measures are required to avoid impacting root zones; where works are required to permit retention such as minor branch removal; and assesses the overall impact of the scheme in terms of the landscape, ecological and cultural value which the trees provide.

This information provides the Planners with the information they require to understand your project and assess its impacts upon trees.

How can LSC help?

Our Arboricultural Consultants can undertake both the BS 5837 surveys and provide the expert Arboricultural Impact Assessment report required to support planning.

Our surveys are completed to the Best Practice Guidelines outlined by the British Standards guidance, and our reports consistently provide the information required by our clients to secure Planning Permission.

An Arboricultural Impact Assessment is a key document to allow both you and the Planners to understand the impact of your project upon onsite and adjacent offsite trees, both during the construction process and in the long term.
